The past weekend saw two landmark events in Malaysia's political landscape: Tan Sri Isa Samad's whopping win in the Bagan Pinang by-election, and the dramatic MCA EGM which has shaken the very foundations of the party. We speak with Amin Iskandar, the Exective Director of the National Institute for Electoral Integrity, about what we can analyse and anticipate from these recent developments. Amin has also just recently returned from observing elections in Afghanistan - we asked him what Malaysia could learn from Afghanistan's democratic reforms. We speak with Amin Iskandar, the Exective Director of the National Institute for Electoral Integrity, about what we can analyse and anticipate from these recent developments.
