Since it's launch several months ago, EPIC's 'Voice Your Choice' project has registered 22,000 new Malaysian voters across the peninsula. While this is an impressive number by most standards, this youth initiative has set a target of registering 2 million new voters by the next general election! EPIC's John-Son Oei tells us why youth civil-society initiatives need to say non-partisan, and what he has discovered so far about Malaysians attitudes towards voter registration. He also shares his thoughts on the use of the Universities & Universities Colleges Act on 4 Political Science students from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. John-Son Oei is a coordinator of EPIC (Extraordinary People Impacting Community), who are looking for collarators in all states across Malaysia to help them reach their 2 million target.
